Read-A-Thon

We have an exciting summer reading program until September 27th. We would like for you to join in the fun. Have you noticed the reading chart by the Library? We now have over 32 names on it. Folks from age 3 to 87 are getting into the fun of reading books and enjoying videos from the Library. There is a great selection available so why not visit the library, pick up some books or a video and join in the excitement? There are a variety of prizes such as gift cards from department stores, restaurants, grocery stores, and a variety of other items for children and adults to select from. If you read the New Testament in any version, it is the same as reading 3 books in the library. If you read the Old Testament in any version, it is the same as reading 10 books in the library.  If, for some reason your name is not on the poster please talk to one of the librarians.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Kaleigh Nehiley and Cheryl Hartlen re the “Naming the Owl” for our summer Reading Program. His name is “Winky Specs”.

No Scents Makes Good Sense

The Congregation is reminded that we have several persons in our congregation with environmental sensitivities who may experience adverse reaction to perfumes, colognes, deodorants, hair spray, etc. worn by others. In the spirit of “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” we respectfully request that worship attendees refrain from wearing these products.

Lost & Found

There have been many items left at the church. The Lost & Found box is located on the shelf in the foyer. (The shelf beside the office entrance) Items include: leather jacket, hoodies, gloves, hats, scarves, mittens, jewellery and many other items. Please check to see if any of these items belong to you. On September 14th, all items not claimed will go to Beacon House.

Can You Help?

We have a need for 2 litre ice cream containers (with the lids).  If you are able to provide any please leave them by the kitchen.  Thanks!
