Nuptial News

Congratulations are extended to Darren and Tara (née Williams) Brewster  who were united in marriage by Rev. Dr. Ida on Saturday, August 22, 2009.

Thank You

We wish to extend a heartfelt thanks to everyone for visits to our home, phone calls, sympathy cards, and food during our difficult time in the loss of Bill. Special thanks to Pastor Bob and Dr. Ida for their support. Your kindness and caring mean so much to us.

Gar & Jean Woodworth and family.

Spiritual Week

Please be in prayer for the group of youth and their leaders who are leaving today for a week-long stay on PEI. The youth will be taking part in a variety of activities focused on discovering more about Jesus, as well as enjoying fellowship time together. A special thank you to those who contributed food items for the trip, your kindness is appreciated!

Edu-Kid

Thank you to all those who have made donations to the Edu-Kid campaign. We are still in need of glue sticks, scissors, Kleenex and math sets.

There is a box in the foyer where you can drop off donated supplies or you can make a donation (mark as “school supplies”) and these funds will be used to meet special requests from our students. Thank you for your support!

Sunday Prayer Link

Please pray for Rev. Dale Stairs and Mrs. Jody Linkletter who together give leadership in the Youth and Family Department of our Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches. Please pray also for the search process for a new Director of Youth and Family for our Convention.

v Krista-Lee Bates is in Cambridge, Nova Scotia for her last week of DVBS. Please remember her in your prayers as she wraps up a busy summer.

v Please be in prayer for staff and campers at Bayside Camp as the 2009 camping season comes to a close. We thank God for the ministry of Chris MacRae, Josh Mitton, and Borden & Amy Scott.

We are making plans for an exciting Fall Program for Hi/KidVenture. This program will be meeting on Monday nights from 6:30-8:00pm. We are looking for volunteers who are willing to help out on Monday evenings in a variety of capacities. If you are interested in becoming a Hi/KidVenture volunteer or would like more information, please contact the church office @ 835-5966.
