Lunch & Learn

Mark your calendars for our next “Lunch and Learn”, sponsored by the

Christian Education Committee.  Join us on Sunday, March 8, 2009 12:30-2:30 for a session on "Responding to the Needs of Aging ".  This session will cover some of the issues and challenges associated with aging. Dr. Valerie Lewis, Family Physician with interest and expertise in

Care of the Elderly will talk about the common concerns that confront

seniors.  Jackie Cajolais of the Sackville Senior’s Advisory Council will speak on the various resources that are available to Seniors.  A light lunch will be served. This will be of interest to Seniors and those involved in their support and care.

 

Bereavement

As a caring community of faith and love we extend our sincere Christian sympathy to Rev. Gary & Jean Myatt and family on the death of Jean’s mother, Ellen Kapinga, who passed away Thursday, February 12, 2009 in Winnipeg.

 

Women's Connection

Women’s Connection will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 18th from 9:30 to 11 am in the Rockingham United Church on Flamingo Drive.  Registered massage therapist, Heather Cameron, will speak to us on the health benefits of therapeutic massage; guest soloist is Shannon Holman and Pat Peppard, business owner and mother, will be our special speaker.  Refreshments and nursery care will be provided for a small cost of $6.00.  Please call 835-8629 to reserve.
