Sunday Prayer Link

The annual Simpson Lectures at Acadia Divinity College will take place on February 11 – 13 of this week. Guest Lecturer will be Dr. Ron Sider who will speak on the theme of “Just Living: A Biblical Imperative for the 21st Century” Please pray that these lectures will be an excellent source of inspiration and renewal for pastors and others who attend.

 

KidVenture

The KidVenture Family Outreach Committee would like to thank all those who donated cookies and money to help fill Christmas baskets that were delivered to each family in December. We would also like to acknowledge a donation from Pete’s Frootique. Our next event will be a pot-luck supper on Wed. Feb. 18th. We will need help with set up, serving, and clean-up. We are also looking for people to join the committee. If you are interested in this service of outreach please contact Bob or Louise Archibald. (865-7077). Bob will be presenting a workshop on helping your children in Spelling at 6:30 that evening. Anyone is welcome to attend this workshop.

 

KidVenture/HiVenture

We have an incredible program for children on Wednesday nites from 6:15pm – 8:00pm. However, our numbers have increased and we need more helpers. We have some special needs children who often times need one-on-one attention to help them stay focused or help them in their craft time. If you could help on a regular OR on a rotating basis please contact Wendy Levy at 864-3240 or Dr. Ida @ 835-5966.

 

Senior’s Valentines

Today the Kidzone children would like to give a Valentine to the seniors of our congregation.  If you are 65 or older, please stop and see the children at the back of the church as you leave.  We ask that couples receive just one Valentine.  HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

 

The Women’s Inter-Church Council

The Annual World Day of Prayer Service, will be held Friday, March 6, 2:00pm at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 3311 Ashburn Avenue, Halifax. The service has been prepared by the women of Papua New Guinea. The evening service will be at 7:00 pm at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, 5522 Russell Street, Halifax. Please join us – all are welcome!


 

Annual WMS Bible Study

Cornwallis Street Baptist Church, 5457 Cornwallis Street, Halifax will be hosting the Annual WMS Bible Study on Saturday, February 21, 2009. The Allen Wayte Memorial Concert
