Dear Bedford Baptist Church,
Thank you for sending me to Bayside Camp. I had a lot of fun. My knowledge about God has grown. The people I met within those 5 days, I would trust them with my life. The counsellors there are so nice. They become your best friends. The food there was great. They feed you lots and it was very healthy. The games had you going from 9:00am to bed. My favourite activities are archery, canoeing, swimming and rock climbing. I met a boy there. He’s a counsellor and he’s like a brother to be. He taught me how to play drums and how to pray. His name is Ben Feltmate. He should be rewarded. I made lots of friends. I have their Face Book and the counsellors Face Book. We all cried when we left. One day I want to be a counsellor. So thank you again. P.S. God thanks you for what you did. Your friend, Marcus Wells
Blessings to all those who gave of their time, talents and money to make this happen!
“Well done good and faithful servant”. (Matthew 25:23)
(A letter from Marcus’ Mom is posted on the bulletin board in foyer.)
Urgently needed! Transportation for Campers to Bayside
We need your help transporting children to and from Bayside Camp. Children must
be at the camp Sunday afternoon and picked up after vespers the following Friday.
Drives are needed on the following days:
Sunday, August 9 and Friday, August 14 for 3 teens
Sunday, August 23 and Friday, August - 28 for 1 teen
If you are able to help in this very important mission please speak with Dr. Ida or check the sign-up sheet in the foyer.
Prayer Link
Numerous churches in our Convention are making use of ‘Natural Church Development’, a tool meant to assist congregations in assessing their current congregational health and effectiveness for the Kingdom, and identifying strategic future directions. Please pray for these churches, and their Regional Ministers who often serve in a consultant role in the process, that they will discern God’s ongoing leading for them.
Read-A-Thon
Have you noticed the reading chart by the Library? Folks young and old are getting into the fun of reading books and enjoying videos from the Library. There is a great selection available so why not visit the library, pick up some books or a video and join in the excitement? There are a variety of prizes.
65th Wedding Anniversary
Dr. Harold & Marguerite Mitton will be celebrating their
65th Wedding Anniversary on Sunday, August 9th.
Best wishes may be sent to: Dr. & Mrs. Harold Mitton,
Suite 313, The Wickwire Place , 14 Wickwire Ave. , Wolfville NS B4P 0A9
