“Sending a Kid to Bayside”

We need your help. The cost per camper is steep: $280.00. And we have more requests than budgeted money. If you would like to help defray the cost of sending a child to camp, please mark your donations “Bayside Camper” and place them in the offering plate. Thank you to those who have already contributed to this worthy cause.

Upcoming Events

Please be sure to check the bulletin board for upcoming events being held to welcome Jeff and Deann Carter who are home for the summer. The Carters are our CBM partners and they will be sharing their missions in Prague.

Prayer Card

Please be in prayer for Krista-Lee Bates who has begun her summer work as Daily Vacation Bible School Coordinator for the United Baptist Woman’s Missionary Union. Krista-Lee is a member of our congregation and you are invited to pick up a prayer card, located in the foyer, which outlines her itinerary for the summer.

Prayer Link

This Wednesday is Canada Day. Please pray for the leaders of our provinces and of our country as they wrestle with social and moral issues. Pray that they will seek wisdom from God as they carry out the duties of their respective offices. Pray also for leaders in the churches across our Convention as they amiably participate in public dialogue through the grace and Spirit of God.

Thank You To Lynn Sharam

Today is the last Sunday that Lynn Sharam serves as our interim organist and choir director. She has worked tirelessly over the past 10 months to sustain and enhance the music ministry at Bedford Baptist. We extend to Lynn our heartfelt thanks for a job well done, and wish her a restful and relaxing summer.

Thank You

Thank you to Ralph Miller and Gregg Wolfe for mowing the lawns

Bereavement

As a caring community of faith and love we extend our sincere Christian sympathy to Annie Pierce and family on the death of Annie’s brother James, “Jim” Hines who passed away on Monday, June 22nd.

Birthday Greetings

Belated best wishes are extended to Curtis Chipman who celebrated his 99th birthday on June 25th.

Bulletin Sponsor

Today’s bulletin has been given in loving memory of Dr. George McNeill by the Pastoral Staff. As this is the first drive in service of the season and Dr George began this ministry over 40 years ago.

Read-A-Thon

Congratulations to Dante Bachelor, (Grace Johnston’s grandson) who was the first person to complete the readings and receive a prize.

Why don’t you visit the library, pick up some books and become the second person to receive a prize. This program is for all ages including teens and adults and we have a variety of prizes and a great selection of books in the library.

“How Shall We Then Live?”

The Church has perhaps never faced the significant challenge that it does today with the incoming, changing and emerging culture around us. On Sept 26 at the Holiday Inn in Dartmouth, from 9 am to 3 pm, an important conference will be held. “Integration Of Faith Into Life. The three guest speakers, Drs. Craig Evans, Bryan Hagerman, and Andrew MacRae, are all experts in the topic being presented. The hope is that participants will receive the tools necessary to know how to: a) engage the culture

b) to integrate the key essentials of faith into everyday life and practice. Please go to the conference Website for more details. howshallwethenlive.ca
