I would like to thank everyone for their generous gifts, the beautifully worded cards and the many verbal expressions of love and affirmation that I received from you this past week.  I used the word “overwhelming” on Sunday, and I would have to say that it is the only word that comes to mind that expresses how I feel.  It was a very moving day for me, and I deeply appreciate your loving support and encouragement.  It is indeed an honour to serve and to be a part of such a wonderful Christ-centered church family.  God bless you all.  Kevin

Thanks, thanks, thanks to all who prayed for me over the past four months. Also, for your many, many cards and letters, visits and touching gifts. I am also very grateful for the food items that folks have been so graciously dropping off at my home. Special thanks to Pastors Ida, Bob and Kevin for their visits. May God bless my church family for their loving support. Please continue to be in prayer for me as I heal. Love Myrtle

Prayer Link

Pastors and other church ministry staff, as well as their spouses, will be gathering at ABU tomorrow and Tuesday (May 25th and 26th) to attend a financial/retirement planning seminar hosted by our Convention’s Board of Ministers’ Annuity. Please pray that God will give His wisdom as they listen to presentations relating to stewardship issues in preparation for the future.

Carter Family Urgent Prayer Request

We just wanted to thank you for praying for Zachary since his May 7th serious colonic/tonic seizure that saw him admitted to hospital for a week of tests.  We are happy to say that there has been no more seizure activity and he has begun a light course of medication to control possible future episodes.  We see a specialist while we are in Canada June 5th.  We covet your prayers for his therapy and that he will be able to resume his normal life activities.  He was at football practice yesterday and it was good to see him out with his friends having fun.  We pray that it stays that way. Also just a note to let you know that our summer Home Assignment speaking schedule for Canada is now posted on our blogsite at  www.cartersinprague.blogspot.com. If you would like to connect with us (and we hope we can) please take note of it and if you need more information please feel free to contact us via email at jcarter@ebf.org. We hope we can see you this summer! With our blessings, Jeff, Deann, Zachary and Matthew Carter

Hi/KidVenture Closing

Did you know that over 90 people attended this past Wednesday. night's closing? It was a high energy night which included a BBQue, an enthusiastic singing of favorite songs, presentation of certificates, giving of Bibles to Grade 3's and 4's, prayer of thanks for the food, and joining with about 45 youth for cotton candy and fireworks.  Parents in the community have been very appreciative of this program for their children and are looking forward to our summer DVBS program July 6-10.

This children's ministry could not happen without many hands, feet and listening ears. Thank you to the leaders and support staff (20) of Hi/ KidVenture. We believe that this is a vital outreach and teaching ministry of our church. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs." Luke 18:16.

Thank you,

Coordinators Wendy Levy and Dr. Ida
