Need Your Help - Needed for Hi/KidVenture Family Craft night: cotton gingham material, pieces of wainscoting and ribbon for bows (the type with the wire) Items may be dropped off at the church office marked Hi/KidVenture.

Sunday Prayer Link

As Christmas approaches, please pray for our missionaries including both those who are currently serving in the field as well as those home on furlough. Pray particularly for those who are far away from family members, friends and colleagues. Pray also that their investments may reveal the Gift of the Christ-child within the communities in which they minister.

Blue Christmas Service

We will be having a Blue Christmas service on Sunday, December 13th at 4:00pm. This is a special service of quiet reflection and meditation for those who find Christmas difficult because of particular life stresses or losses. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Advent Intergenerational Today

Join us today at 3:00pm for exciting learning centers (still able to sign up for crafts in the foyer). Supper, coordinated by the Social Committee, starts around 5:15pm with subs and cake/ginger bread. Decorating the church sanctuary and singing carols at will follow supper (see information on yellow invitations placed on the table in the foyer). Volunteers are still needed to help with registration, craft assistants, set-up of tables/chairs and removal of tables/chairs. If you would like to serve in this way please speak to Dr. Ida.

Friendship Circle

Tuesday, December 8th, Christmas Luncheon at Swiss Chalet in Lower Sackville. Those who require transportation are asked to meet in the church parking lot at 12:00 Noon.

Canadian Baptist Ministries Christmas Gifts

“Gifts for Change” - Wonderful Christmas gift ideas found in a small catalogue from CBM that you can ask people to give you or that you can give to others. (Example: One goat $65.00) Gift catalogues are available in the foyer.100% of the funds received go to the project of your choice. If you would like to donate through the church, Nancy Ohsberg will be in the foyer following the service.

Mitten Tree

Each year we set up a Christmas mitten tree which is now in the church foyer. As a church we bring store bought or homemade mittens, scarves, hats to put on this tree. The collected items are given to our elementary school children in Hi/KidVenture and children in a local school. Thanks to your generosity we now have over 85 items. Additional items would be greatly appreciated.
