C.L.A.S.S. 201 - Spiritual Maturity

All Christians eventually ask the same questions: How can I get closer to God? How can I live more and more like Jesus? How can I grow in my faith? Where do I start? CLASS 201 is designed to answer these and many other questions.

We will focus on Four Basic Habits every Christian needs to develop in order to grow in spiritual maturity.  Whether you’re a new or veteran Christian, you will be greatly encouraged. If you have taken 101, this is your next step.  Friday, January, 22 @ 7:00pm & Saturday, January, 23 @ 9:00

Sunday Prayer Link

Please pray for Potential Impact II which will be taking place January 15th – 17th at Camp Wildwood in Bouctouche, NB. Potential Impact II is for young adults who are exploring the possibility that God has gifted them and is calling them to prepare for full time vocational ministry. Please pray for these students that they will receive spiritual guidance, enjoy times of worship and community, and will have discerning spirits to sense how the Lord is leading them.

LAFF

We will be studying the video series "What You Always Wanted to Know about Heaven" by Dr. David Jeremiah which is 11 sessions.  Some of the topics are: So What's Up With Heaven?  Where Are They Now?, The Heavenly City, and Worship in Heaven.  Come to LAFF and learn about the place where you will be spending eternity!  Come and enjoy fellowship and refreshments; come to participate in meaningful and challenging discussions! Starting January 14, 9:30 – 11:00 in the Heffler Room.

Small Groups on Sunday Evening

Sunday evening small groups will resume again in January on the 17th.@6:30pm.  We will be using a DVD presenting the ideas from Philip Yancey’s book entitled “What’s So Amazing About Grace?” In this ten-session DVD, Yancey offers intimate glimpses of God’s life-changing grace. Using candid interviews with real people, he illustrates the power of God to forgive the most horrible deeds, love the unloving, and redeem the seemingly irredeemable. He challenges us to be the channel of that grace to a world that needs it! We will view the video together as a whole group and then break into small discussion groups. Please come and join us. If you have never come before, give it a try! This is a great series and a great chance to get to know some of your fellow believers.

The Marriage Course - led by Pastor Ida starts January 24th (7 weeks)

The Marriage Course will begin Sunday, January 24th @ 6:30 p.m. The course consists of 7 DVD sessions presented by Nicky and Sila Lee (a couple who have been married for over twenty years and have four children). The course is designed to prepare, build and strengthen marriages. It is also open to those contemplating marriage. Cost of $20.00 per couple. Please contact Dr. Ida @835-5966 if interested.
