Sunday Prayer Link

As we stand at the threshold of another new year and a new decade, please pray for the clear leading of the Lord and his continued empowering for all of our churches as well as for our ministry partnership that is called the Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches. Pray for those who are involved in teaching/outreach ministries within our churches (Sunday School, Alpha, mid-week children and youth programs, small group Bible studies, etc.). Pray that these teachers and leaders may be filled with the Holy Spirit as they teach about and model Jesus. Pray for refreshment for these leaders as they begin a new season after the Christmas break.

Birth Congratulations

Congratulations to Jenna Mitchell and her husband Rob Antle on the birth of their twins, Clark Strachan (6lbs.8 oz) and Grace Violet (5lbs.11½ ounces), who were born on Saturday, December 19th. Proud grandparents (for the 4th and 5th time) are Lloyd and Lynda Mitchell.

Birth Congratulations

Congratulations to Keith & Jennifer Hiltz on the birth of their daughter Leah Eleanor Allison Hiltz. Proud grandparents are Tricia & Ron Hiltz.

Sunday evening small groups will resume again in January on the 17th.@ 6:30pm.  We will be using a DVD presenting the ideas from Philip Yancey’s book entitled “What’s So Amazing About Grace”. In this ten-session DVD, Yancey offers intimate glimpses of God’s life-changing grace. Using candid interviews with real people, he illustrates the power of God to forgive the most horrible deeds, love the unloving, and redeem the seemingly irredeemable. He challenges us to be the channel of that grace to a world that needs it! We will view the video together as a whole group and then break into small discussion groups. Please come and join us. If you have never come before, give it a try! This is a great series and a great chance to get to know some of your fellow believers.

Hi/KidVenture

Hi/KidVenture begins this Monday, January 4th and ALL children are welcome age 4 up to and including Grade 6. Please call Andrea @ 434-3678 or church office for further information.
