Upcoming Event For Couples In Their 20’s or 30’s

Couples in their 20’s or 30’s are invited to a barbecue after church on Sunday July 11th. If you have children they’re invited as well. Meat for the barbecue will be provided. You can help by bringing dessert, fruit, or snacking vegetables.

It’s Back! Summer Reading Adventure

Reading is a rewarding activity on so many levels. Our Summer Reading Adventure takes that notion one step further as you can actually win prizes by reading through an assortment of books in our church library. This program is for all ages including teens and adults and we have a variety of prizes and a great selection of books in the library. Of course there are plenty of books to help you grow spiritually and help you develop your relationship with God. But you might be surprised to know there are also many mystery, adventure, and fantasy books in our library as well! Look for a pamphlet in next week’s bulletin that explains all the details as the Adventure begins next Sunday!

Bayside Camp—Still Time To Register!

With space still available in all camps, you can register online at www.baysidecamp.org or by calling Nancy at the Camp Office (868-1237). The adventure of a lifetime still awaits you this summer at Bayside Camp!

Bed & Chair Available

For anyone interested, 1 hospital bed and 1 wheel chair are available at no cost and the donator will deliver.  Call Jerry at 865-6139.

Phoenix House Needs Our Help

The Missions Committee would like to bring to our church's attention the need from Phoenix House. Phoenix House provides at least 10 different programs for at risk and homeless youth. They have a list of ways people can help. One is volunteering and another is providing non-perishable food stuffs. If you feel called to be a volunteer you may contact Mission Committee members for the varied ways of helping. We are also planning to have a food donation twice a year. This time we are collecting peanut butter. A  Phoenix House  donation bin will be placed in the foyer on June 20. A small donation of peanut butter will go a long way in supporting this local community project.

CBM Prayer Line

Canada

Please pray for Erica Kenny, currently staying with her mother who is facing some serious health issues. As the medical team looks at moving forward with treatment options, pray that the Lord will give them the guidance and direction they need to make the best possible decisions.

Refugees

Since the United Nations General Assembly established it as such in 2001, June 20 has been celebrated around the world as World Refugee Day – a salute to the indomitable spirit and courage of the roughly 17 million people around the globe who find themselves homeless and without a country to call their own. Pray that the Lord in His mercy will continue to protect those the world calls refugees, guide them in their quest to find somewhere to call home, and above all, keep alive the spirits of determination, dignity and hope.

Indonesia

Latest news from Bill and Janice Dyck gives praise to God for the successful completion of another semester at the Kalimantan Theological Seminary. The closing ceremony and commissioning service for students going out to do their field service was held at the end of May. Pray for all the students as they spend the next 2 months at their ministry sites. Pray for health, strength, and wisdom to do the job well.
