ABC Book Club

Best wishes are extended to Florence Bates who is celebrating her 85th birthday today, March 21. Florence is the mother of Brian Bates and Priscella Matheson and grandmother of Ben, Krista-Lee, Brianna and Deborah Bates.

 

THANK YOU so much for such an overwhelming party in honour of my 90th birthday. To our hostess (the organizer) and all who contributed to and helped her make it such a memorable afternoon, especially the entertainers, photographers, and clean up crew, I give my sincere appreciation.  Thank you all for coming to share and enjoy it with me. God Bless, Mona Ellis.

Clothing Sale Coming May 1st

We are looking for donations of clean, new or nearly new clothes, toys, jewellery, china or antique dishes, household linens, footwear or purses. 

 

Help Needed

We are also looking for volunteers to help sort clothes, set out clothes on Friday, April 30th, take a shift on Saturday, May 1st, and do tear-down after the clothing sale. Please contact church office if able to help.

 

Room Available

Bayers Road Baptist Church (near the corner of Joseph Howe Drive) has a house with accommodation for four single women, and there are presently two rooms vacant. If you're interested in renting a modestly-priced room in a spacious house at a convenient location, please contact the Bayers Road office at 453-4504.

We are in need of people to help in the Nursery for the Intergenerational on Sunday, March 28, from 2:30 – 5:15pm. If you can help please contact church office.

The Licensing Committee of the Halifax Region United Baptist Association will be meeting on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Bedford Baptist, to consider applications for the Association License to Minister and the Association Lay License to Minister.
